For many saints, worldliness is all about having possessions more than necessary or loving things more than God. However, we have the injunction from John that we should not love the world nor the things of the world. It is not all about 'things'. The world has a way to capture our attention in more ways than one. Worldliness can be manifested not just by our love for something but also by our lack of interest in things that really matter. One of the more subtle evidence is the response "Not Now". When we are asked to do something spiritual or share something that the Lord is doing in our life, if our response is "Not now" or "Later", it is surely an indicator that all is not well with our soul.

This post actually talks about something which happened in my life few months ago and it was precisely through 1-John 2:15 that, the lord spoke to me.
Praise God! for the way my lord is showing the things which are worldly in me, the amazing thing is that, he also gives you the strength to get rid of them 1 by 1.
Its a constant battle, in which the devil will tell you that, this is "OKAY" and Holy Scripture will properly guide you and tell you that, its "NOT OKAY".
